AMERICA RECYCLES DAY
America Recycles Day is November 15th.
It is a special day set aside to remind all of us how important recycling is. Started in 1997, America Recycles Day this year is November 15 and is the only nationally recognized day in the USA dedicated to encouraging Americans to recycle and buy recycled products.
Remember, when in doubt. . .  don't throw it out! Find out if it can be recycled, reused or repaired!

Oak Ridge is celebrating America Recycles Day on Monday, November 16th. Please have your children wear something green and bring a waste-free lunch by bringing reusable containers instead of disposabl
e ones.

The Oak Ridge Green Team has a new recycling opportunity just in time for America Recycles Day! It's called Crayola Color Cycle - an amazing program devised to turn used markers into energy!  Oak Ridge students, staff and teachers will be collecting used markers that are ready to be discarded. The markers will be sent to a facility where they will be converted into clean fuel.  Please help support our efforts by sending your kids in with any used markers, highlighters and dry erase markers you have around the house - even non-Crayola brands.  A large ColorCycle deposit box will be located in the hallway outside the Main Office.
